Description

Primary Role in the Organization:

1. To oversee the daily departmental production.                            

2. Ensure that company objectives are met with regards to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.

 

Reports To:  

Production Senior Manager

 

Supervises:  

Assistant Production Manager, Department Supervisors and Shift Supervisors

 

Responsibilities:

1)  Create and monitor division objectives

2)  Monitor and evaluate material usage

3)  Minimize division scrap and waste

4)  Evaluate and optimize O.E.E.

5)  Monitor and minimize division downtime

6)  Create and monitor division expenses, capital, manpower, and overtime budgets

7)  Assist Engineering with developing operations and capacity requirements

8)  Support APQP activities

9)  Support activities and benchmarking items 

10)  Support customer meetings and activities

11)  Ensure adherence to the Quality System

12)  Provide support for customer concerns

13)  Ensure adherence to the Environmental System

14)  Ensure division performance meets company objectives

15)  Monitor and evaluate division training requirements

16)  Evaluate associate performance and provide feedback

17)  Provide support for department meetings

18)  Ensure clear communication paths for associates

19)  Support Neaton associates programs 

20)  Support production line Kaizen activity

21)  Ensure there is continuous improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery,

      Morale, & 6S activities.

 

Qualifications:

A.  Experience

1) Knowledge in plastics or related plastic fields                                                         

2) Knowledge of assembly processes

 

B.  Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in related field.

 

Requirements:

 

A.  Physical Demands

Must be able to work long hours and be available to work all shifts

 

B.  Equipment Usage

Must have an in depth knowledge of QAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases 

  

C.  Mental/Cognitive Demands

1) Good oral and written skills.                     

2) Must be organized and familiar with scheduling processes.                              

3) Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct employees.                                 

4) Must be self motivated.
